VERNON TOWNSHIP — The Meadville Driver License Center, located at 16942 Patricia Drive, will be closed until further notice because of a facility issue, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced this afternoon. Repairs to the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system have led to the temporary closure, but the center anticipates to be closed just Friday and Saturday. The Meadville-area photo license center's regular hours of operation are Wednesday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. The Meadville-area driver license center's regular hours of operation are Thursday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. Customers who use this center for driver or photo license services may visit the Erie Driver License Center, located at Summit Towne Centre, 7200 Peach St., which is about 45 minutes from the center. Hours of operation at the Erie location are Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. PennDOT also said the Seneca Driver License Center, 143 Airport Road, is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 8:30 to 4:15.

That facility is about a 50-minute drive from the Meadville-area center.
